While reading The Sign and the Seal yesterday by Graham Hancock, I was suddenly
thrown into a renewed interest in Quetzalcoatl. Purely on his
description of the etymology, when he said "precious twin" I immediately
thought of DNA. Upon searching the internet for the work of others who
may have though that this deity had some correlation to the structure of
DNA I found a number of videos and a lot of pages with the phrase "the
return of Quetzalcoatl." I am about to embark on another journey of
study.
During this research journey I found this article mentioning Urim and Thummim a term I just came across today in the same book that began this entire adventure yesterday. How is that for serendipity? I have a feeling I'm headed to a new revelation in understanding my purpose.
Amidst this sudden surge of recurring themes screaming, look, look! Pay Attention! I also had been reading online yesterday an article on double meaning discovered in DNA.

The descriptions of the Quetzal and it's physical traits of curling colorful plumes. The possible translations that could infer undulating wrapping and serpent like, as well as a twin of another Deity. The feathered plumes are the spiritual extension or hidden layers of DNA. In Mayan belief the feathered serpent represents ascended man, so it is the precious twin, sprouting wings lift it above itself, into a different state of being.
While reading through I played a YouTube Videos first about the Mayan deity, then about DNA and came to watch a series of videos about DNA Activation including this interesting piece, and now the quest continues...
